Once upon a time, when my sister Hannah and I were just little kids, we had a favorite band. I'll bet you can't guess who it is. When you're a kid you can find very interesting ways to keep yourself entertained. We put The Bangles in another world, literally.

We loved to make paper dolls and play with them like some kids play with Barbies. We had many sets of Bangle paper dolls over the years. We also had Poison and Def Leppard dolls, who were dating our Bangle dolls. It was often very dramatic. Domestic violence, pregnancies, you name it.

Hannah and I also used to record interviews where we'd play the Bangles. George Michael had his own radio show and The Bangles were on every time. Vicki didn't care for George very much, but Vicki didn't care for many people. Michael gave birth to a baby on one of the shows. Susanna loved to show off how her boobs could magically inflate and Debbi got eaten by her flesh-eating sister more than once.

Hannah and I would go to the park and play "Cannibal Olympics". We also recorded a couple of Miss Venus Pageants. You'll have to read the Venus section to understand what the hell I'm going on about.

I wanted to be Michael Steele. I wanted the red hair and the flaming orange lips like in the "Manic Monday" video. Hannah wanted to be Vicki. We both wished we could shout like her.

Musically, I would try to figure out every Bangle song on the guitar or piano. Hannah started to practice the drums and the first song she learned was "Watching The Sky".

Yes, The Bangles were our world.
